Double Laze.

Wednesdays are officially my lazy day; I have the day off uni for 'self-directed' study and do not creep out from under my duvet until afternoon hours. Not much gets done, and I barely leave the house...part of me is ashamed but part of me says it's okay. It's okay because I'm a very poor student who needs to lock herself away from any spending temptations. It's okay because the day can be spent pretending to get through the mountain of uni work piling up. It's okay because it's cold and miserable outside. Does anybody else get my drift? One day a week is allowed right?
All these reasons were verified today when I did in fact leave the house *shock horror* to apply for some voluntary work in town. Yes I fell victim to temptations, no I didn't even come close to completing any work and did you see the weather today?!

Double denim anyone? It's a bit hit and miss, but I wasn't taking myself too seriously this afternoon and really wanted to wear my beloved men's shirt, plus it's a nod to the western trend that's hovering about. I've seen a lot of amazing Isabel Marant-esque boots and shirts on the high street, love this subtle cowgirl revival; have you girls been influenced yet?

I'm off to read fashion magazines for uni research...not too shabby tehe.

Blue Heart.

This morning I stared blankly at my wardrobe for a good ten minutes, the past few days my clothes have just not inspired me...and however much I would love to go on a huge shopping spree right now sadly my student budget will not allow it. I decided getting dress was no longer important and catching up on MIC was, and hey presto...Binky sparked some inspiration. She wore a love heart jumper identical to the one I own, sorted. May have to watch more television in the morning to help me with outfits, shame haha. The sun was also shining so it absolutely had to be taken advantage of...enter last summer's maxi. Maxi skirts seem to be a big hit right now, especially the more slim fitting ones, I like belting them up to create more of a midi...perfect transitional piece when the seasons are still slightly confused.

My blue phase is alive and kicking again, I did worn you.

Happy Halloween guys!

Into Something Blue.

Evening all. Have you noticed it too? My old flame is slowly creeping back into my heart, electric blue. And this time round it's not just electric; it's sky, navy and teal. It was so bad last time that my friends started to cool it 'Sam's blue', but now I like to think I've broadened my style horizons. During the autumnal months it's nice to have a bit of pop in your wardrobe to break down the dreariness, and this skirt definitely does this.
Baring in mind I've had this since my 20th back in May I've barely worn it, and I'm pretty sure my friends were tired of me complaining that nothing went with the blue gem...for some reason I had it in my head that whatever I wore with it would make me look like a nurse...yep, I know haha. But, hopefully to some of my friends joy they can rest assure that there will be no more moaning, the breton top has come to the rescue, as they always seem to do with many outfits.

I'm starting to build quite  a good Forever21 archive in my wardrobe, so happy; whenever I wonder around the store I always come out with something...it's that good, the chirpy price helps too AND you get student discount, bonus. If you haven't ventured into the American high street chain it's an absolute must.

Royal Mess.

Evening girlies! The evenings are drawing in dead quick, and my my isn't it getting chilly, all the reason to drink more tea accompanied with a barrel of biscuits right? Brr. Now most of the time I'm a morning person (despite what the boyfriend may say), and once I'm up, I'm up...but this cold makes it so hard to get out of bed, especially when your student lifestyle means heating is an absolute luxury and you've been using candles to warm your room haha. What makes it worse is that this is just the beginning, this cold is only a scratch on the surface; it's going to get colder, and as it does I'm going to roll into university looking more and more dishevelled.

Another wear out of this Kate Middleton-esque dress, it's such an ideal dress to just throw on and build a look around; the leather jacket toughens it up whilst the red scarf print and lips a bit of oomph. Know what I mean?

Furry Encounter.

Today I managed to to take my faux-fur coat on it's first proper outing...okay so it was only uni but still. After slowly easing into this coat, and being able to wear it comfortably and confidently I've now anchored my love for the faux beauty. Plus, it's so warm and snuggly, just what's needed when the chill is creeping upon us.

What do you think? I think my search for the perfect winter coat is over before it even to began, now that's a success. How's your hunt going?

It's now officially the weekend for me *little party in my head* and I'm off to London to visit one of my bestests, very excited; days full of shopping, wine and laughter await. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Perfect Evenings.

Hello there strangers! I know, I'm actually the one being the stranger, with starting university this week I haven't had the internet to blog. Boo. But we have now set-up the internet and it's getting switched on next Friday, and for the mean time I'm back in my home town stealing the boyfriend's wi-fi. So before doing anything else I wanted to complete my holiday posts, even if Summer does feel like a distant memory. Autumn has well and truly put it's foot down right? There's that crisp, fresh smell in the air and the hot chocolate addiction has been unleashed for the season -make mine topped with cream with a side of shortbread.

It was rather lovely being able to dress up for dinner with Jack, every night felt like date night, and he even he got into the swing of smartening up.

I'll try to resume to my usual blogger self asap, I miss reading through blogs and taking outfit snaps. Hope you're well and September is treating you all well, the month of new beginnings quite often.

Going on a Summer Holiday.

I know I've been a bad blogger recently, and jetting off to Spain tonight isn't going to help, so apologies guys! I promise to get back on the great blogging track next week as we've so much to catch up on, plus all my holiday ventures to blab about. I am SO looking forward to a week in Barcelona with the boyf, after such a hectic week (this genius here decided to move houses at the same time as looking after work 24/7, before leaving on Sunday...stress levels were hiiiigh) I think I've earnt a little time away to soak up some sun, with the only thing to worry about being which restaurant to eat out at that night.
Here's a little peak of the last week, photo heavy, you've been warned.

New shoes from New Look; been eyeing the leopard print for ages and Jack actually picked out the other pair. Rather impressed with his choice.
Bikinis!! Finally get some use out of these little beauties. And yes, I seem to like blue swimwear; although there is some flower print bottoms to mix'n'match.
The girls came round for one last sleepover at mine, which included homemade banana and oat face masks. Don't we just look haaawt.
After 5 years of volunteering at a youth club I had to say goodbye! So many messages and cards, I felt very loved.
American blueberry taffy from a stand in Bluewater, so scrummy. The colour of my tongue amused me a little too much perhaps haha.
All our last minute shopping for holiday, there's something about carrying many shopping bags that makes me rather cheery.
America do food and drink so well, just tastes sooo good. Jack treated me to two of my favourites; Mountain Dew and Haiwan Punch.
One of the besties had a birthday bbq, proving that you're never too old to have balloons on the front door haha.
Nearly shed a tear when I had to throw all my weekly magazines in the recycling tip, and just imagine how much £££ is there. Damn.
Just had to get this from Forever21, it's too adorable. It's nice and thin so perfect for the plane journey tonight.
Our inner geek side come out. The little chess set is one of my favs that we took on holiday last year too hehe.
I purchased a few months ago and lost it literally a few days after! But my wonderful friend Pops surprised me with a new one at lunch today, thankyou!
My cutie patootie parents made me a tea and biscuit hamper for my uni house, these are being well hidden for sure.
I got a tad too happy about finding these old gems in a shop, remember them? I'm pretty sure every girl had an alice band with there name on it, or was I the only cool one?

I'm meant to be catching some zzzs right now before our flight although I'm waaaaay to excited, perhaps I should attempt atleast some kind of sleep, Sorry it's a late one girls, hope you are all dandy! See you in a week!

Adios amigas,
