Brighter Pleats.

So yesterday I headed up to London and was a little bored of all the black I had been wearing all week, so decided my fluro-like, limey dress needed an outing. Not only do I adore these bright colours at the moment but check out the pleats! And in this season's midi length, perfect right? The dress does all the talking really so dressed it down with a leather jacket and ankle boots, two wardrobe pieces I couldn't go without at the moment. And don't fear ladies, I know it's been rather chilly lately accompanied by freezing wind, so I layered up underneath with a vest and rolled up leggings to keep me snug.

This dress was actually a lustful purchase last Spring, and I feared it was a one hit wonder sort of dress, but the brights are still in this season thankfully along with the mid length so I'm pretty happy I can get my wear out of it this Summer too.
What do you think? I know it could definitely be a marmite dress, hate it or love it, but the pleated greatness has stolen my heart.

Hey Joni.

Finally, after attempting to get an outfit post up for the past few days I managed to spare time before university today without nosey people, awful weather or atrocious lighting getting in the way. Mind you this isn't perfect, and the wind was pretty determined to blow me away at a point. I think every blogger out there, including myself, is longing for summer days now, simply for the outfit snaps...some heat wouldn't go a miss either would it? Nevertheless we shouldn't be wishing our days away as my Nana would say, alas we must brave the last of winter, and just pretend for now. Enter trusty Ray Bans.

There's a few new naughty purchases amongst this black outfit, including the spikey, silver necklace which adds an edge to any top and the new Topshop jeans, Joni- super high waisted and tight. I chose the dark shade as they could be very versatile, worn in the day like above or for a night out with a pair of hot heels; this reasoning lead me to believe it was okay to spend money I shouldn't have. Totally worth it. Have you girls tried the new style? What do you think? For me Topper's jeans come up trumps amongst other highstreet brands, the range and fit is like no other and the price is pretty reasonable for a long lasting pair.

I'm off to attempt a work out in hope of a perfect summer body, a girl can dream right? Hope you are all well and THANK YOU so much to all my lovely new followers.

When in Rome...

Hello hello, hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are still enjoying the festivities. Christmas Eve my boyfriend and I returned home from a long awaited weekend in Rome, which was pretty magical this time of year. I especially thought it would be romantic flying back on 24th for some reason, until I started to panic two weeks before that we may be snowed in for Christmas haha...thankfully all was okay.

We managed to cover the whole of Rome and it's greatest landmarks in the four nights we were there, revisiting our favourites on the last day. Was so lovely to spend some quality time with the boy on our own little adventure, definitely one of my favourite things to do in the whole world. Plus the Italian gelato was AH-mazing, pretty sure I had it for breakfast everyday.

Lazy Choices.

You may be thinking it's a little too cold for even maxi skirts now, but throw on a pair of leggings underneath and you can still feel snug as a bug. So glad I did, as Winter is certainly here with all these little snow flurries up and down the country occurring, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas right? I have been wearing an awful lot of black and white recently, with my gold accessories thrown in as always.

I'm also getting pretty lazy with my outfit choices in the mornings before uni, here I didn't have the time to untangle these necklaces so just threw them on how they were, luckily it worked and I didn't look too much of a mess haha. Last week I couldn't decide between two scarves so wore them both, yup I'm that cool haha.
Hope you're all fine and dandy, less than three weeks until the big day! Crazy stuff.

Double Laze.

Wednesdays are officially my lazy day; I have the day off uni for 'self-directed' study and do not creep out from under my duvet until afternoon hours. Not much gets done, and I barely leave the house...part of me is ashamed but part of me says it's okay. It's okay because I'm a very poor student who needs to lock herself away from any spending temptations. It's okay because the day can be spent pretending to get through the mountain of uni work piling up. It's okay because it's cold and miserable outside. Does anybody else get my drift? One day a week is allowed right?
All these reasons were verified today when I did in fact leave the house *shock horror* to apply for some voluntary work in town. Yes I fell victim to temptations, no I didn't even come close to completing any work and did you see the weather today?!

Double denim anyone? It's a bit hit and miss, but I wasn't taking myself too seriously this afternoon and really wanted to wear my beloved men's shirt, plus it's a nod to the western trend that's hovering about. I've seen a lot of amazing Isabel Marant-esque boots and shirts on the high street, love this subtle cowgirl revival; have you girls been influenced yet?

I'm off to read fashion magazines for uni research...not too shabby tehe.
