Old Summer

Now I'm home for the Summer many of my evenings are spent down by the river basking in the sun and getting all nostalgic about the yesteryears. Here I'm wearing one of those very generic H&M Summer dresses; super light, super cute, super cheap. I have a fair few of these hanging about, ready for those days where you just want to throw something on without thinking too much about the outfit. Perfect for hot, sunny days lounging about in a park.

The old floral garland really got me in the mood for the festivals I'm hitting up this Summer; it really does just make any outfit festival ready. This one is really old, but I'm hoping to spruce it up with a trip to the haberdashery however if you are on the look out for some sweet head wear definitely check out Topshop's variety.

Pinch of Petals.

Last Summer this floral headband basically lived on my head, but this year it retired to one of my many storage boxes that I never think to open and left hoping for next Summer. Snooping through said boxes, I rediscovered the head candy and thought autumn could do with some blossoms, so alas it's time has come. Because who says flowers are only for Summer? Why can't we flaunt some flower power during the dull, grim days too...especially in a season when head accessories are all the rave.

Although I really do love the head candy trend, no matter how pretty they are it always seems like a lot of faffing about, and I always end up touching/ readjusting my hair because the band feels like it's slipping. Though this may just be me and my big head, it genuinely is bigger than an average head I'm sure haha, I'm afraid my headbands or alike will stay put in the forgotten boxes...until next time.
I'm off to rummage through the fridge for another petit filous...undoubtedly one on of THE best yogurts ever made. Scrum.

Holding onto Summer.

So back to reality, no more holiday snaps for now. Instead, an outfit I donned to uni on my first day, even though the weather hasn't been cheery I need to get the most of my tan whilst I can, so the legs have been on show a little more than they probably should in the Autumn. And the pastel, pleated skirt is definitely one of my favourite finds of this Summer, it has definitely secured my new thoughts on pink clothing, something I wasn't too keen on a year ago.

Writing this post has made me crave some thrifting, perhaps I'll put it on the agenda for the next week. Definitely want to find some bargains like this gorgeous shirt, perfect for winter with it's dark floral print, and as a teeny cover up on a night out.
Have a great weekend lovelies!

A Floaty Number.

Okay, so it's about time I showed off some of my finds in Germany, be it only a two...but still, they're so pretty. I managed to tick off two boxes from my mental wish list/ must list; a floaty dress and a big daytime bag. The first is a steal from Zara at only €20, whilst the latter was spotted in the corner of my eye in a German shop called Promod for just  €29.

These sandals are the only ones that I've really ever liked, and therefore have worn more than they can take I think, although saying that they aren't looking too shabby after four years! I also wore two pairs of earrings today, it's rare for me to even remember that I've had my ears pierced twice haha.
Hope you guys share the love for the floaty dress, it's just so summery!

Pretty Little Touches.

I've spent most of today in bed fighting off a horrid sore throat and annoying cough, the extra zzzs I caught by taking the day off work definitely had an effect and now I'm feeling much better. Nonetheless, when I woke up mid-afternoon I felt is disorientated and icky, you know the feeling? So I dressed up all pretty and girly to give myself an oomph, with a little bit of pampering included.

Thought I'd treat you to a sneak peek of an outfit, seen as I dressed up all nice to just sit in today, I know have the perfect outfit to wear tomorrow- weather permitting...or maybe not, I may just fight through the grey and drizzle.
How do you girls make yourself feel better when your ill? I now commencing the final hours of my sick day with peppermint tea, crappy TV and my boyf's fhm magazine, my secret pleasure.

Stay dandy <3

Snakeskin Coverup

Howdy gals. It's come back round to my lazy day again, hooray. This will be my last day off before I fly out to see my beautiful friend in Germany, which is all rather exciting, yet still two weeks away ahh, so I've literally surrounded myself with all that I need to do absolutely nothing. It's bliss.
In other news, everyone is back from uni now so I've been going out and catching up with them, it's always lovely to have my favourites back in town. And next time they all go off, I'll be going off too..it's coming round all so quickly. This outfit is one I donned a few nights ago, which started with wine and giggles and ended up with us in an absolutely dire club in town. I sound like the most boring 20 year old ever, but I really just don't enjoy clubbing. Night clubs where you pay something stupid to get in, to not be able to here each other and be grinded by some sleazy, dunken 'lad'. Ew. Don't get me wrong, I love going out and having a jig, but in bars as they just have a much nicer atmosphere. The fact my home town has extremely awful clubs doesn't help my opinion haha.

I love summer evenings when you can just wear a shirt for cover up, balances out the shortness of the playsuit...H&M's dresses and playsuits are always very, very short. Anyone else use that trick to still feel comfortable on a night out?

Stay dandy,

Sequins in Brighton.

On Thursday my sister and I went to Brighton, one of my favourites. My ten year plan definitely includes moving to Brighton it has everything, and each time I go I discover something new and quirky to fall in love with. We were going along to a Kate Nash gig in the evening, and decided to make a day of it, which meant try not to buy everything we saw so we didn't have to carry it all around. It was hard. We have had some cheery temperatures (hooray), but layering is still essential; it is Britain after all.

The gig was different to what we expected, Kate played all her new stuff which is more rocky and out there, we fancied a good sing-a-long but could only really sing a long to a few. But I guess she needs to promote her new music and I'm sure we will be singing along to that soon enough. Her albums are my go-tos when I need cheering up as they are always so bouncy and happy.
Hope you guys have all had lovely weeks!
