90s Child

For my birthday my mum hunted down some Levi's for me so that I could cut them down for Summer, but after trying on her wonderful bargain find of only £5 I kinda didn't want to cut them up any more. They are pretty darn cute for this season's 90s vibes and will look freat with a pair of heels as well as a pair of white plimsolls for chilly Summer strolls.

ALL of my family are such bargain hunters and this Plimoth vintage jumper was a find of my sisters, but of course I've temporarily stolen it as it's a great addition to my handbag for the last minute layering we've been experiencing with the British weather.
This outfit needed some jazzing up so I added the fluoro accents, the Barry M nail varnish really packs a punch. I'm so sorry that I can't remember the exact colour, but it looks like a dirty limey colour in the bottle but over a layer of white nail varnish looks amazing!

Drum Roll Please...

Hooray...I'm finally back on the radar. Three weeks ago I dropped my camera whilst attempting some bloggy photos and completely broke the darn thing. But alas, I have a shiny new camera again (instant replacement insurance is the best £20 I've ever spent ha) and can commence normal posts. I have missed my little blog, and have been itching to get back to it...so here goes.

This H&M skirt had been abandoned for a good few years in a drawer, but then a few weeks ago I had some sort of clothes epiphany as I was throwing my weekly 'need a new wardrobe' mope. Pretty sure I'm not alone in this, when you buy a few new pieces do you over wear them and then your brain forgets about the other 99% of your wardrobe?  Because that happens to me ALL the time. Things have got to change though, as I'm now in the midst of student life, and a very small budget of which three visits to Forever21 in one week can not be justified. Ooops. As you know, I adore nothing more than charity shopping, for me it's the creme dela creme of the British shopping experience, but I need to start recycling my own clothes too. So I vow to rummage MUCH more often into the deepest, darkest depths of my mess of a wardrobe to find some forgotten gems.

Hope you lovely ladies and gents have been dandy, and thank you again for taking a snoop at my little spot of the internet

Brighter Pleats.

So yesterday I headed up to London and was a little bored of all the black I had been wearing all week, so decided my fluro-like, limey dress needed an outing. Not only do I adore these bright colours at the moment but check out the pleats! And in this season's midi length, perfect right? The dress does all the talking really so dressed it down with a leather jacket and ankle boots, two wardrobe pieces I couldn't go without at the moment. And don't fear ladies, I know it's been rather chilly lately accompanied by freezing wind, so I layered up underneath with a vest and rolled up leggings to keep me snug.

This dress was actually a lustful purchase last Spring, and I feared it was a one hit wonder sort of dress, but the brights are still in this season thankfully along with the mid length so I'm pretty happy I can get my wear out of it this Summer too.
What do you think? I know it could definitely be a marmite dress, hate it or love it, but the pleated greatness has stolen my heart.

Recently Acquired.

I'm seriously trying to cut back on my spending at the moment, yet I still manage to have picked up a few cheeky things. I do need to sort my spending out as I can be quite impulsive and my bank account doesn't like it one bit. Even more so when I try to persuade myself that buying from a charity shop is okay as of course the money is going to a good cause,  except my money still vanishes, need to get that idea out of my head asap.
top Small market-like shop
This was only £6 and seemed like a brilliant idea, my sister bought a top from this shop too and I think we both had second thoughts on our purchases. I do like it, just not as much as I wish I did.
velvet vest charity shop
This velvet number was only £1 from one of those baskets you must rummage in, it was definitely worth the rummage. The colour is perfect, and the velvet as a bit of luxury, it just means I constantly stroke my stomach whilst wearing this haha.
floral blouse H&M via charity shop
This has already been worn rather alot recently, it's just such a nifty blouse as it's light and baggy meaning it's perfect for hot days, but I can also use it as a little jacket for the evenings. Already have many a outfits spinning around in my head for this beauty. My friends are so impressed with this find for some reason.
speckled skinny jeans ASOS via charity shop
Grabbed these for just £3.50, they are a great fit and something a little different with a speckled, cloudy effect and the zip is on the hip so they are even more slim lined.
cat iPhone4 case Urban Outfitters
I'm not even that much of a cat fan, I mean I don't have a particular favourite, but this case is just sooo pretty. The mix of the colours and the cat's eyes just make it a bit of a wow case for me, despite the fact if I stare at it for too long it starts to creep me out a little haha. I picked it up in the Brighton Urban Outfitters for £12, which is that bad, is it?
Hope you guys have picked up some cheeky bargains this week too, what do you think of mine? Have a fabulous weekend!
