Perfect Evenings.

Hello there strangers! I know, I'm actually the one being the stranger, with starting university this week I haven't had the internet to blog. Boo. But we have now set-up the internet and it's getting switched on next Friday, and for the mean time I'm back in my home town stealing the boyfriend's wi-fi. So before doing anything else I wanted to complete my holiday posts, even if Summer does feel like a distant memory. Autumn has well and truly put it's foot down right? There's that crisp, fresh smell in the air and the hot chocolate addiction has been unleashed for the season -make mine topped with cream with a side of shortbread.

It was rather lovely being able to dress up for dinner with Jack, every night felt like date night, and he even he got into the swing of smartening up.

I'll try to resume to my usual blogger self asap, I miss reading through blogs and taking outfit snaps. Hope you're well and September is treating you all well, the month of new beginnings quite often.

Shifty Sequins.

This creamy sequin number was the basis for my girls night out last night, after umming and awwwing over it on many previous nights out before I finally wore the charity shop find. Everything from the shape to the colour makes this my dreamy dress; muted sequins have been popping up all season and the colour keeps in theme with the under-the-sea pearly trend. The shiftiness kept me weary of too many black accessories as sixties, monochrome dress-up wasn't what us girls were going for, but I find the shape makes the dress much more wearable (given it's completely covered in sequins).

The only grumble I have is the length, so a trusty body con skirt underneath kept my dignity when I boogied on down, nothing out of the ordinary for H&M lengths though really, there bottoms always seem rather short don't they?
The night with the gals was lovely, many of giggles. Definitely need more of those before the Summer is out! Hope all you girls our having a wonderful weekend and enjoying all the inspirational olympic tv!

Snakeskin Coverup

Howdy gals. It's come back round to my lazy day again, hooray. This will be my last day off before I fly out to see my beautiful friend in Germany, which is all rather exciting, yet still two weeks away ahh, so I've literally surrounded myself with all that I need to do absolutely nothing. It's bliss.
In other news, everyone is back from uni now so I've been going out and catching up with them, it's always lovely to have my favourites back in town. And next time they all go off, I'll be going off too..it's coming round all so quickly. This outfit is one I donned a few nights ago, which started with wine and giggles and ended up with us in an absolutely dire club in town. I sound like the most boring 20 year old ever, but I really just don't enjoy clubbing. Night clubs where you pay something stupid to get in, to not be able to here each other and be grinded by some sleazy, dunken 'lad'. Ew. Don't get me wrong, I love going out and having a jig, but in bars as they just have a much nicer atmosphere. The fact my home town has extremely awful clubs doesn't help my opinion haha.

I love summer evenings when you can just wear a shirt for cover up, balances out the shortness of the playsuit...H&M's dresses and playsuits are always very, very short. Anyone else use that trick to still feel comfortable on a night out?

Stay dandy,
