Brighter Pleats.

So yesterday I headed up to London and was a little bored of all the black I had been wearing all week, so decided my fluro-like, limey dress needed an outing. Not only do I adore these bright colours at the moment but check out the pleats! And in this season's midi length, perfect right? The dress does all the talking really so dressed it down with a leather jacket and ankle boots, two wardrobe pieces I couldn't go without at the moment. And don't fear ladies, I know it's been rather chilly lately accompanied by freezing wind, so I layered up underneath with a vest and rolled up leggings to keep me snug.

This dress was actually a lustful purchase last Spring, and I feared it was a one hit wonder sort of dress, but the brights are still in this season thankfully along with the mid length so I'm pretty happy I can get my wear out of it this Summer too.
What do you think? I know it could definitely be a marmite dress, hate it or love it, but the pleated greatness has stolen my heart.

Oversized Tartan.

Hello there, I'm heading back home again today for a weekend of celebrations (with essays and sketch book work squeezed in at every opportunity), my beaut of a sister turned 18 yesterday and my boyfriend's mum is having a shindig for her birthday Saturday, plus I'm hoping to have some tea and cake with my Nan who turned 78 this week later on. January is definitely turning out to be a jam packed month, with uni deadlines making it even more hectic; but I can't complain because busy is how I like it, you feel much happier when you have plans all over the place right?
Anywho, here is my 5 euro bargain from Paris, the ultimate comfy shirt that pack's a punch with the bright tartan print, perfect for my train journey home this afternoon.

This is the first time my gorgeous winter coat has starred in a post too, a bargain in the Debenhams sale at £20 which isn't too shabby huh? The detachable fur collar is what sold it to me, as the masculine shape looks great without it too and is so easy to throw on last minute to keep warm, think this coat will share a few winters with me for sure.
Hope you are all well and January isn't too blue.

Holding onto Summer.

So back to reality, no more holiday snaps for now. Instead, an outfit I donned to uni on my first day, even though the weather hasn't been cheery I need to get the most of my tan whilst I can, so the legs have been on show a little more than they probably should in the Autumn. And the pastel, pleated skirt is definitely one of my favourite finds of this Summer, it has definitely secured my new thoughts on pink clothing, something I wasn't too keen on a year ago.

Writing this post has made me crave some thrifting, perhaps I'll put it on the agenda for the next week. Definitely want to find some bargains like this gorgeous shirt, perfect for winter with it's dark floral print, and as a teeny cover up on a night out.
Have a great weekend lovelies!

Sunshine Sequins.

Thought it was about time I got these babies out on the blog, do you like? These sequin shorts have been in my wardrobe since the January sales, a bargain find of my muma's (she's a bargain queen) and I've actually been able to wear them consistently throughout the year, be it on a night out or for a meal with the girls, however they do look an awful lot better bare legged than they do matched with tights. Thanks to sequins sticking around this SS12 they've been a very worthy sale find, with the muted sparkle keeping them sophisticated  rather than Christmas party-esque.

I've just been wearing this outfit on strolls about town, as the top plays the sequins down for a day time look, everybody loves a good old breton top; a wardrobe necessity!

A big shoutout to all my lovely new follower by the way HELLO!!! <3

Ich Liebe Erdnussbutter.

Hallo! Last night I returned home from five lovely days visiting my friend Eva in Cologne, Germany. We try to see each other at least twice a year, taking it in turns to fly over to one another, and this was perhaps my fourth visit and I love it more each time. After having a few stressful months at work I really felt like a break, and catching up with one of my favourite girls was definitely the right medicine. We managed to cram in so much, a weekend of shopping, relaxing, partying and exploring was just perfect!
So whilst I've been missing from the blogosphere I managed to take some outfit photos, although I wasn't incredibly good at remembering, and despite taking a huge suitcase full of just clothes I still felt like I was lacking choice...girl problems hey.

I'll catch you up with more of my german escapades next time, for now I'm going to sit and read this 50 shades...see what all the hype about and indulge in too much milka chocolate! It's so damn good, and so cheap in Germany so I stocked up haha, all different flavours, yum.

Pretty White Tee.

It's more simple white tee, however the cut-out shoulders gives it some ooo, in my opinion the most attractive things about a girl are less obvious; shoulders, collar bones, wrists and back to name some. I'd had my eye on the cut-out tops for a while, but never got round to buying one...until yesterday when I went where I shouldn't and browsed the sales (I can't save, it's sooo hard!) and found this simple number in New Look for £4, not too shabby ey. It looked like the last one on the rails, and it is a few sizes bigger than my norm, but I like big and baggy!

There's something about a plain white top and blue jeans that makes me feel fresh and healthy..strange but true. It's such a simple outfit, but it's like a clean slate to accessorise how ever I feel like it, there aren't really any boundaries with this clean look outfit.
Does anybody else get what I mean about rocking a plain white tee?

Sequins in Brighton.

On Thursday my sister and I went to Brighton, one of my favourites. My ten year plan definitely includes moving to Brighton it has everything, and each time I go I discover something new and quirky to fall in love with. We were going along to a Kate Nash gig in the evening, and decided to make a day of it, which meant try not to buy everything we saw so we didn't have to carry it all around. It was hard. We have had some cheery temperatures (hooray), but layering is still essential; it is Britain after all.

The gig was different to what we expected, Kate played all her new stuff which is more rocky and out there, we fancied a good sing-a-long but could only really sing a long to a few. But I guess she needs to promote her new music and I'm sure we will be singing along to that soon enough. Her albums are my go-tos when I need cheering up as they are always so bouncy and happy.
Hope you guys have all had lovely weeks!
