Pleated Play.

As promised a new outfit post for you guys, featuring some of my favourite new buys this week including a gorgeous pleated midi thrifty find and a oversized grey tee from Toppers. The basic collection in Topshop at the moment is amazeballs, there is so much choice of staple wardrobe pieces such as midi body con skirts to sweaters; all of which I adore as the styling options are endless. These plain t-shirts are definitely hitting the spot for me at the moment, need to add more to my wardrobe asap plus some glorious jewellery .On that note, can anybody send me in the right direction of some eye-catching statement necklaces, I've been searching for what seems like forever for THE perfect one and alas, I'm still yet to.

I'm also loving bright nail varnish again at the moment, think I'm lusting after Summer sun a little too much haha. I couldn't decide between the two colours so painted each hand different...odd I know, but it did add a pop to this grey outfit. Note the cute western ankle boots, Jack got these for me as a surprise for Christmas and was so proud of himself for picking something so out of the blue that I fell in love with straight away haha, boy did well don't you think?

Hope you're all dandy and fending off the horrid bugs going round at the moment, I'm trying my best with copious amounts of green tea. Take care.

Low Key NYE

Happy New Year to all you wonderful people! Whilst everyone is kick starting their detox and getting back to some sort of routine, I'm still laying in bed with one hand in the Heroes tin...ooops. This Christmas break has been the ultimate chill out, so much so I've barely taken any festive or outfit snaps...bad blogger I know. So NYE I forced the boyfriend to take a few pictures before we trotted around our friend's for a quiet (yet alcohol fuelled) night in, note I still managed to squeeze some sequins in one last time before the seasonal jollies were over; sparkle in January just doesn't quite hit the spot, right?

So there was my last outfit of 2012, here's to a brilliant 2013 full with many pretty clothes hehe.
I'm off to write a to do list for the year ahead, I decided resolutions weren't my thing this year...have you made any good ones though?

Into Something Blue.

Evening all. Have you noticed it too? My old flame is slowly creeping back into my heart, electric blue. And this time round it's not just electric; it's sky, navy and teal. It was so bad last time that my friends started to cool it 'Sam's blue', but now I like to think I've broadened my style horizons. During the autumnal months it's nice to have a bit of pop in your wardrobe to break down the dreariness, and this skirt definitely does this.
Baring in mind I've had this since my 20th back in May I've barely worn it, and I'm pretty sure my friends were tired of me complaining that nothing went with the blue gem...for some reason I had it in my head that whatever I wore with it would make me look like a nurse...yep, I know haha. But, hopefully to some of my friends joy they can rest assure that there will be no more moaning, the breton top has come to the rescue, as they always seem to do with many outfits.

I'm starting to build quite  a good Forever21 archive in my wardrobe, so happy; whenever I wonder around the store I always come out with something...it's that good, the chirpy price helps too AND you get student discount, bonus. If you haven't ventured into the American high street chain it's an absolute must.

Furry Encounter.

Today I managed to to take my faux-fur coat on it's first proper outing...okay so it was only uni but still. After slowly easing into this coat, and being able to wear it comfortably and confidently I've now anchored my love for the faux beauty. Plus, it's so warm and snuggly, just what's needed when the chill is creeping upon us.

What do you think? I think my search for the perfect winter coat is over before it even to began, now that's a success. How's your hunt going?

It's now officially the weekend for me *little party in my head* and I'm off to London to visit one of my bestests, very excited; days full of shopping, wine and laughter await. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Black and Blue.

Recently I've donned much more black than usual, perhaps it's because it looks subtly sophisticated and marks a point of maturity, I know two years ago I'd insist on wearing colour as colour is fun. I now realise fun doesn't mean trying to wear the rainbow; personal style is fun, playing with clothes and toying with outfits is fun. So yes, maybe the black is a mark of growth, OR most likely that the weather is getting me wardrobe gloomy. I'm mourning the sunshine haha.
Anywho, thought I'd show you how I took an outfit from day to night, because sometimes there's just not enough time to faff about with a whole other outfit, right? (lazy girl preach)

For added change, I also popped a lick of the H&M matted coat over my Barry M neon pink nail varnish, and it really reminded me the coloured plastic of pencil cases, strange huh? But I loved the muted fluro look.

I'm off to for charity retail therapy later with my sis, so hopefully will have some bargains to show you guys. Have a wonderful weekend one and all!

Off Duty Fluro.

Hola chicas. I've had a rare few days off this week so have been keeping it simple and dressing comfortably, but I have had to jazz it up with some fluro pink. Injecting spats of colour into an outfit can really up you mood, and I adore wearing pink lipstick when everything else is pretty mundane. I'm loving my fluro nails at the moment too, I've had the colour for absolutely ages but never worn it. This season is definitely the one for some neon, plus I swear it makes my hands look that little bit more tanned.

Also, I'm not usually one to wear just leggings and a short top but these new ones are so thick I feel slightly more at ease in them. Plus they look like uber tight jeans (jeggings?) so I can pull off a subtle souble denim at the same time, woo!

Fingers crossed for more sunshine tomorrow, so I can get some Ray Ban action, I love them dearly.

Autumnal Feelings.

The weather is rather hard to get to grips with at the moment, so much so that my wardrobe is all disarray with winter essentials still hanging about on the rails. When I opened my front door this morning to steps full of fallen leaves it felt like I had fast forwarded to Autumn. What's going on?
So now that nature has me feeling all Autumnal, I though it was okay to wear these trousers my mum picked up from a charity shop for me. I've seen khaki hiding in and about some highstreet shops recently, but in my head on tops and bottoms, it will always be an Autumn colour. Perhaps because military is often an A/W trend, does any one else know what I mean?

This is such a comfortable outfit, and I've worn it about town today and going to jazz it up with the Jasper Conran boots from this post
Hope you are all dandy sweets!

Birthday Outfits.

As promised here is a short but sweet post of what I wore over the weekend, they are a bit of a mish mash as I was all over the place with excitement that I didn't have time to do a 'proper' ootd photo sesh.

There's a sneak peek at some of my haul in here too. After all the highstreet shopping I've done in the past week I'm now eager to go for a rummage in the charity shops, feels like forever since I've been.

In ither news, I've come across a ridonculous amount of money spiders in the past couple of days, so I felt the need to do the lottery...fingers crossed hey. You never know, I may be a millionaire by the next post.

Have a lovely evening sweets
