Printed Trousers.

I haven't done a 1,2,3 in a while so thought it was about time I shared some love for printed trousers. I have had them a while, of course another charity shop find, for around about £3. Not too shabby hey. But they are originally from H&M and I know they are offering up similar trousers in various prints in store now. The great thing about these are that they are tremendously comfy, it feels like you are not wearing them at all, plus they are bang on trend for summer.

This orange crop is a perfect balanced with these trousers, they both scream look at me, and that kind of goes well here. right? Gold jewellery will forever me my go to when I want to luxe an outfit up, it pulls the outfit together for a polished, city look.

A much more low-key going out look, with of course a bright accessory to awaken the monochrome. I loved how the black wedges looked with the trousers, and the length of the trousers seemed perfect. A denim jacket seems to be prints friend.

This outfit kind of oozes Ibiza beach, with vibrant colours and prints merges with the loose, easy shapes. I tried to throw some sports luxe in with the watch, but it just got me wishing even more for some snazzy hi-tops or something.

These trousers are definitely coming with me on holiday, so easy to wear and light. Hope you enjoyed this 1,2,3... Sorry it's rather late, work got in the way a LOT earlier than of course I had to rush out to watch the England match. I love the atmosphere around football games, especially when England do a good job. C'mon England. 

Scarf Print Try Outs.

Alrighty, so first off I would like to say a hello to all my new followers, thank you for following Sugar Sweet Monster, I'm chuffed you are.

Now let's get down to business; this week's 1,2,3. This Tuesday I thought I'd play dress up with the scarf print shirt I bargained last week in a charity shop (of course, where else?haha) as I have been dying to wear it out, and needed some outfit ideas. Scarf print is huge this Summer, inspired by Dolce and Gabbana the high street has gone slightly mad for it, River Island especially! I wasn't so sure about this trend, 'it's certainly a  brave one' I thought, but it is eye catching and different... it adds a bit of 'wow' to a simple outfit.

This particular one is nautical themed, with a sailing boat on the back.

Slightly equestrian. This outfit is very simple and so comfortable. I was a bit dubious about putting gold necklaces with scarf print but I think it works because of the navy central strip breaks up the 'chaos'.

Laid back Summer. I want sun and I want it now (don't we all?!). Can not get enough of my cut offs, and this bag compliments the shirt quite well.

Leggy night. This outfit is daring all because of the hotpants. I do like this outfit, but I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to wear it out, although I have to say that the long sleeves and top button of the shirt does balance this outfit out. One of my key style rules; if you have your legs out keep your top covered and vice versa. I've been keen to put some red lippy with this shirt, just looks tres sophisticated.

Candy Stripes

 Hello all :) I attempted to post this last night but my eyes would not allow me to sit in front of my laptop any longer, so here it is now. On this oh so dreary day, I've just finished work and now plan on doing nothing else for the rest of the afternoon, except possibly fetch some biscuits from Tesco for tea dunking. It's a plan.

Candy stripes are popping up here, there and everywhere on the highstreet, complimenting the sweet shop, fondant colours that are huge this season. So I was more than excited when I spotted this in a charity shop a few months ago, for just £3 I had to have it. Plus it's Topshop, always a bonus.

Circus androgyny. Quite a sleek, smart night outfit. I have such a thing for bow ties at the moment.

Preppy day off. This coat is quite a staple of mine at the moment, it surprisingly goes with quite a lot, especially if I'm just slugging around all day.

Tapered Trousers.

Hello lovelies :) This post was meant to go up last night but my eyes were hurting so much due to lack of sleep, so I gave in. But here it is, another '1,2,3 Tuesday'. Today's culprit are tapered trousers. Now, I absolutely love that over last few seasons trousers have made a huge comeback, they are so comfortable to wear, and they look much more chic then jeans don't they?! The only thing I was worried about was the shoes I would wear with them, because in all magazine shoots the models are wearing heels with trousers. If I wore heels everyday around town I would look like a giant, I'm quite tall already. So the only thing stopping me wearing these comfy babies was shoes, how silly of me!

Lunch about town. This is the outfit that inspired me to focus on tapered trousers , it's a casual, sassy ensemble. Plus, a good mac makes any outfit look good!

A Boutique in Lakeside


I collected all three of these during this winter, I was never too keen on jumpers but they went all cutesy this winter so had to get some. My favourite is the last one, which I even wore with a sparkly sequin skirt to jazz it up a little. Which one is your favourite?

The Sheer Floral Dress.

Hello, welcome to my weekly post 1,2,3 where I'll try and show you three ways of wearing one item of clothing. This week is a sheer floral dress from Debenhams, I know it's so cliche to adorn yourself with floral print in Spring, but I like it okay! Hehe. Plus, it is the first official day of Spring 2012 today.

Summer boho. I folded my dress in here as I thought it would look cute as a midi skirt that's longer at the back. Just add a waist belt to hold it up, it's a brilliant trick if you just want a temporary change!

I wore Barry M in Turquoise, Topshop Nails in Mint and 17 in Mint Choc Chip throughout, loving the mix of colours on my nails right now.
