Stars and Stripes

This morning I was running on zero hours sleep and a can of monster...oops. So when I rummaged through my wardrobe the key was comfort but still pulled together, I definitely didn't want to look as tired as I felt. Enter an outfit that is just all so wrong; a Children's jumper I had bought for a shoot a while ago, some Topman jeans and my bargain patent courts from the Christmas sales. But it really did do the trick, topped off with my favourite snuggly scarf from RI Men's section.

The Stars and Stripes really packed a punch of colour into a dull and dreary day, making it just about bearable until I got home and sparked out on my sofa. Have you noticed the Americana motif seems to be trickling back in for another season, and after dismissing the trend completely first time round it's good to know I have a trusty knit to embrace it this Summer. I'm a little concerned the novelty may wear off and I'll be left with another wardrobe one-hit wonder, but at least we had this tiresome day together hey?

Drum Roll Please...

Hooray...I'm finally back on the radar. Three weeks ago I dropped my camera whilst attempting some bloggy photos and completely broke the darn thing. But alas, I have a shiny new camera again (instant replacement insurance is the best £20 I've ever spent ha) and can commence normal posts. I have missed my little blog, and have been itching to get back to it...so here goes.

This H&M skirt had been abandoned for a good few years in a drawer, but then a few weeks ago I had some sort of clothes epiphany as I was throwing my weekly 'need a new wardrobe' mope. Pretty sure I'm not alone in this, when you buy a few new pieces do you over wear them and then your brain forgets about the other 99% of your wardrobe?  Because that happens to me ALL the time. Things have got to change though, as I'm now in the midst of student life, and a very small budget of which three visits to Forever21 in one week can not be justified. Ooops. As you know, I adore nothing more than charity shopping, for me it's the creme dela creme of the British shopping experience, but I need to start recycling my own clothes too. So I vow to rummage MUCH more often into the deepest, darkest depths of my mess of a wardrobe to find some forgotten gems.

Hope you lovely ladies and gents have been dandy, and thank you again for taking a snoop at my little spot of the internet
