Pastel dreams & leopard print socks.

This week has not been the best of weeks really, but I thought I'd share a few little things that have kept me dandy. Despite the beautiful sunshine, little things like painting my nails all quirky and wearing my favourite socks (sounds lame I know) give me that extra oomph. Do you get me? Or do you think I'm crazy haha?

A weekend away with Mum.

This post is so very delayed, apologies! The past few days have been complete chaos, fingers crossed that's all over now!
I spent last weekend in Eastbourne with my mum, which was very lovely indeed. Not only was the weather great (yay bare legged for the first time this year) but the town had mass amounts of charity shops for us to rummage through. We got some bargains! And I also managed to get drunk with mum, which was strange experience haha. My mum's great, and I'm so happy that I treated her to this late mother's day present, because she is my frigging superwoman!
Here's a few snapshots of the weekend. (I was particularly excited about the breakfast, I'm that cool haha.)

And here are goodies I found in the shops;
All charity shop purchases printed dress H&M tassled belt wanted one for ages  green purse thought it was quite a bright colour pop accessory scarf it's not real Hermes but scarf print is big this season black dress H&M
Thought these would look lovely in my little abode biscuits postcard Seaside shop lolly placemat Seaside shop ice cream soda mug Charity shop old weetabix tin so cool! Charity shop
What did you get up to other the weekend? It seems like a distant memory now doesn't it?! Whatever it was hope you enjoyed the sunshine!!!
Keep dandy, Sam xx

Going dotty.

Hey all, in all the excitement of this sunshine and warmth I wanted to try a double wammy of polka dots. I wore this outfit a couple of days ago with tights, but wore it again today hanging out in my tiny courtyard seen as it's just-about-getting-there leg baring weather. I wasn't too sure on the dots at first, but I think it's quite cute and casual, could actually be mistaken for a playsuit rather then two seperates right? I will definitely be wearing this outfit a lot come Summer, whilst mixing up the accessories. It's comfy and light to wear, perfect. What do you think of the polka dot duo? Yay or nay?
I threw this jacket on to run across to the shop quick, was getting rather nippy.

If in doubt, wear stripes and lipstick.

Last night was date night; dinner and le cinema. I didn't really feel like dressing up too much, and thought the lipstick was a good substitute. And like a majority of girls, stripes are my go-to when I just can't decide, these particular stripes are a recent charity shop bargain. I'm not really feeling the hot pants trend, but these little denim ones look great with tights, I wouldn't dare wear them without though. How do you feel about short shorts?

We went to see '21 Jump Street' , it's so good! And I'm developing a soft spot for Channing Tatum, after seeing both this film and 'The Vow'...shhh don't tell the boyfriend haha.

The Sheer Floral Dress.

Hello, welcome to my weekly post 1,2,3 where I'll try and show you three ways of wearing one item of clothing. This week is a sheer floral dress from Debenhams, I know it's so cliche to adorn yourself with floral print in Spring, but I like it okay! Hehe. Plus, it is the first official day of Spring 2012 today.

1.
Lady-like Fierce. As my good friend would say.
dress Debenhams shorts Topshop socks New Look shoes Next jacket Charity shop
2.
Summer boho. I folded my dress in here as I thought it would look cute as a midi skirt that's longer at the back. Just add a waist belt to hold it up, it's a brilliant trick if you just want a temporary change!
top New Look belt Charity shop necklace Fenwick shoes New Look lipstick Barry M
 3.
Casual tea with Nan. Denim jacket is back in the with the staples for Summer already.
jacket boot fair scarf Dorothy Perkins leggings George at Asda belt Charity shop boots Zara socks Topman
I wore Barry M in Turquoise, Topshop Nails in Mint and 17 in Mint Choc Chip throughout, loving the mix of colours on my nails right now.

Hope you enjoyed the post! Stay dandy as cotton candy <3 Sam

Marks and Sparks charm.

Hey hey, thought I'd share my gleeful surprise of Mark and Spencer's new bag range with you guys, I had to be dragged away from the section before I purchased the majority. But I will make sure at least one belongs to me! I will purchase one.
They are all from the 'Limited Collection' range and are between £20-£40, which isn't too shabby.
I am very impressed, there's actually a few things in store that have caught my eye recently, M&S are certainly going up in the fashion stakes. Although they have always been my first stop shop for new underwear, they have such a good choice!

In other news, this is what I wore to a last minute dinner date with the boyfriend :)

That's all for now, I'm going to go stuff my face with more Ben and Jerry's! Buenos noches! Sam <3

Smarten Up Sunny.

Hello! This weather is driving me crazy, my wardrobe thoughts are all over the place because it's so hard to predict whether it's going to warm or cold, sunny or rainy. British weather doing us proud hey!
I have had enough of all the sunshine teasing; getting us all excited about coatless days, bare legged outfits and sunglasses usage, just to throw it all back in our faces! Boo!
(I may have forgotten to take photos during the day so excuse the sunnies at dusk haha)

I'm a bit late to jump onto the whole collar bandwagon really. I have done it in snippets the past few seasons but at the moment I'm really getting into shirts and collars, and adding a big necklace with them. Need to buy more!

Have a lovely weekend, be it rain or sunshine! Ooo, and happy St Patricks day, may try and sneak in a pint of guiness with the boyfriend later. <3 Sam

Pink Fling.

Hey all. So I got paid over the weekend, and after a huge lack of spending recently went on a massive splurge. My heart sunk when I saw my bank balance yesterday. BUT it's okay, it's money well spent keep telling yourself that Sam.
Today I thought I'd show off the star buy, high-waisted Kristen pink jeans from Topshop, most arguably one of the best places for jeans on the high street. Special offer, just £25!
Here's three ways I've worn them in (yep, haven't worn anything else the last few days).
1.

This fishy print scarf is perfect for the fluro trend this Spring, it instantly adds life to any outfit. I may even be able to get away with saying it ticks off the underwater theme going on too.
Excuse my horrifically wrinkly hands.

I had my eyes on these slipper loafers for a while now, I initially headed to New Look to buy the leopard print ones but everybody else had got there before. Being stubborn, I refused to leave without a pair of shoes because I barely ever buy new ones, this was one rare occasion where I really felt the need to. So I opted for these 'can wear with anything' ones, and as I was walking to the tills spotted some in the exact same style but electric blue. In the sale! Bonus. So I will most likely eventually end up with 3 pairs of the same shoes but different colour...do not judge me! My heart still lusts over leopard print <3
2.
denim jacket Warehouse via boot fair vest H&M bag charity shop
This straw bag is one of my all time favs, even though it's now falling apart! It's a summer staple of mine.

hair clip set of three, New Look3.
This outfit reminds me of those old school  chews, fruit salad?! Mmmm, they were yum.
vest Miss Selfridge earrings New Look necklace Topshop
This one was very simple I know, but I think it would look quite cute with nude heels for a night out. Maybe. I'm probably just getting too carried away by the outfit looking like a sweet. Food is ALWAYS in my thoughts. Shameful haha.

Happy days people! Stay dandy <3 Sam
